General Questions

What is CAMPAWA?

CAMPAWA is the Cameroon Pan-African Women & Youth Empowerment Accelerator & Industrial Development Program. It's a national initiative aimed at transforming Cameroon's beauty, health, food, and fashion sectors by empowering youth (especially women) with market-driven skills and fostering ecosystem growth.

Who is behind CAMPAWA?

CAMPAWA was founded by Madeleine Epouhe and is evolving into a national program supported by a steering committee involving various stakeholders. We actively seek partnerships with local and international organizations.

Where is CAMPAWA located?

While CAMPAWA aims for national reach through online training and partnerships, our primary administrative and potential lab facilities are planned for key urban centers in Cameroon. Specific locations for in-person training may vary.

Training Accelerator

Who is eligible for the Training Accelerator?

Cameroonians aged 18-55, including early-stage entrepreneurs, career changers, students, and those seeking side-hustles in the target sectors. Priority is given to women and rural youth. A minimum of secondary education is generally expected.

How long is the training program?

The core accelerator program is 4 weeks (blended online/in-person). An optional hands-on practicum can add 2-4 weeks.

What skills will I learn?

You will learn sector-specific fundamentals (e.g., product development in beauty/food), digital branding & marketing, business operations (planning, basic finance), essential tech tools, and networking skills.

What are the costs involved?

We use a tiered pricing model. Significant subsidies and scholarships are available for eligible participants, particularly marginalized youth, to ensure accessibility.

Is the training accredited?

We are working towards accreditation and partnership with established educational institutions to ensure the quality and recognition of our training certificates.

What happens after the training?

Our goal is for at least 70% of graduates to launch a viable micro-enterprise or franchise. We provide ongoing support through our network, potential access to finance links, and the Business Membership program.
